Dear Friends and Neighbors,

Thank you for attending (Super Tuesday) precinct caucuses and becoming a delegate or alternate. It’s because of support from individuals like you that I’m proudly able to serve as the Senator representing District 59. I sincerely appreciate your willingness to participate in the political process and your commitment to the betterment of our state and I hope to get your support or continued support in my quest for re-election!

Over the next four years, I’ll continue fighting for issues that matter most to our senate district. I truly believe we can lift our neighborhoods and communities and level the playing field through policies that emphasize education, transportation, community initiatives, jobs, business and workforce development, and housing/homeownership opportunities.

Other Important matters that I intend to emphasize include:

 enhancing business and economic development in our senate district

 investing in our state’s infrastructure by passing a comprehensive transportation bill

 continuing investments in E-12 and higher education to ensure students can thrive and prepare for their futures

 overturning the economic disparities we’ve witnessed in recent years among communities of color

 taking action on criminal justice reform by passing legislation that supports crime prevention, sentencing reform, and reducing recidivism rates

 restoring the right to vote to those who have served their time

I look forward to seeing you at the Senate District 59 Endorsement Convention, which will take place on Saturday, April 2 at Patrick Henry High School, 4320 Newton Avenue North, Minneapolis, MN 55412. Registration begins 8:30 a.m., followed by the 9:00 a.m. convention.

Please join me, Reps Joe Mullery and Ray Dehn for a free, full breakfast at 8:30 a.m. For more information, please feel free to call me at 612-518-8870.

Yours truly,
